Looking For Post-secondary Education Opportunities that Provide Learning Outcomes for Adults with Disabilities?

Aptiv’s adult day programs provide post-secondary education opportunities for adults with disabilities, some much-needed respite for caregivers, and help adults develop skills to support their independence.

Services are hands-on instructional and focused on skill development. Our Day Services program has licensed Recreation Therapists guiding services and supporting participants and staff. 

 

What Happens In Day Services?

Our Adult Day Services program includes supervised group activities, time to socialize with peers, health monitoring, and assistance with activities of daily living. Aptiv's Adult Day Services provide individuals who have disabilities the experiences necessary to develop independence and increase self-esteem. Our programs provide a positive and structured environment focusing on socialization, community access, volunteering, educational opportunities, music, art, and a variety of recreational activities.

Semester Dates:

Spring semester starts 1st Monday in January.
Summer semester starts 1st Monday in May.
Fall semester starts 1st Monday in September.

How Do I Get Started?

First Steps

  1. Contact Aptiv for an informational meeting and to determine options for participation*.
     
  2. Aptiv meets with the individual and their support network to develop an individualized plan and provide services as outlined in that plan.

*If an individual is eligible for funding through the state or county they will be assessed by a county social worker and can request to be referred to Aptiv for services.

Family Care for Adults with Disabilities

a Medicaid managed long-term care program for frail elders and adults with disabilities. The program provides a wide range of health and long-term care services.

 Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services waiver for self-directed long-term supports. The program is an option for adults with long-term care needs.
