Does Your Child With Disabilities Need Help With Developing Life Skills?

Aptiv’s daily living/life skills program is an educational and skill development program with individualized training to improve a child’s abilities to independently perform routine daily activities and effectively use community resources. The activities are hands-on instructional and focused on skill development.

This program allows a child to learn a specific skill set. Children in this program are encouraged to participate in the skill trying to be obtained as independently as they are willing and capable. The purpose of the program is to eventually have the child be able to complete the task on their own. This requires staff to teach the child the skill and gradually fade their support until the child is able to do the task on their own.
