Aptiv's Range of Motion program helps teens and transition age students with disabilities improve strength, endurance, and range of motion. Each person has a customized program, based on the recommendations from an occupational or physical therapist, to help them meet their health and wellness goals.
Aptiv’s Range of Motion program is a 1:1 service that carries out recommended exercises as outlined by an individual’s physical or occupational therapist.
Your teen/transition student’s ROM exercise routine will target their individual goals and their progress will be tracked each session. Documentation varies depending on guidelines from your teen/transition student’s physical or occupational therapist. Common measurements of progress include:
Exercise performance
Tolerance
Increased mobility
Walking
Strength training
Balance & flexibility
Use of adaptive exercise equipment
Use of personal equipment
Utilizing community pools for low impact exercises
Modified movements and exercises to best suit an individual's needs
We would love the opportunity to talk with you about your questions and needs.

Aptiv meets with the individual and their support network to develop an individualized plan and provide services as outlined in that plan.
Your teen or transition age student's personalized program starts with an assessment by an occupational or physical therapist. Using the results of their assessment, the therapist will develop a personalized exercise routine for your teen or transition age student's ROM program.
The routine can incorporate Aptiv equipment, personal equipment, or any combination that fits your teen or transition age student's needs. You and your teen or transition age student's, therapist, and care management team collaborate to determine how the individualized routine will be implemented. Sessions vary in length based on your teen or transition age student's goals.
Your teen or transition age student's therapist will train Aptiv key staff, who ensure effective delivery of the ROM program. No matter the type of activity or level of ability, Aptiv supports individuals reaching for their goals.
*If a family is eligible for funding through the state and county they will be assessed by a county social worker and can request to be referred to Aptiv for services.

It's because of gifts to the Aptiv Foundation that children and adults with disabilities are reaching their goals. It is only through the vision and generosity of contributions to the Aptiv Foundation that it becomes possible to provide the level of support each person needs and deserves. Contributions go to funding facility improvements, program equipment, and other tools to help people with disabilities live, learn and work in our communities.
